The Energy Job Shop Skilled Trades Scholarship is an annual $1,000 award supporting individuals pursuing careers in skilled trades, engineering, technical, energy, and industrial workforce pathways across North America.
In 500 words or less, explain why you are pursuing a skilled trades or technical workforce career and how you are positioning yourself to succeed in an increasingly competitive labor market.
This annual $1,000 CAD scholarship will be awarded to one individual demonstrating clear career direction, job readiness, and a practical plan to enter or advance within a high demand trade.
The scholarship is intended to support training, certifications, tools, safety tickets, or apprenticeship related costs that directly accelerate workforce entry.
This annual scholarship is open to individuals at any stage of entering or advancing within the skilled trades.
This includes students, working tradespeople upgrading skills, career transitioners, and veterans preparing for civilian workforce entry.
Award description
- Students enrolled in or planning to enter a trade school, apprenticeship, technical program, or industry recognized certification.
- Workers already in the trades who are upgrading skills, adding certifications, or moving into higher demand roles.
- Individuals currently working in another field who are transitioning and upgrading education to move into a skilled trade.
- Active service members or veterans preparing to enter or re-enter the civilian skilled trades workforce.
