In Memoriam: Elaine Fischer, BN'75
Elaine Joanne Fischer passed away at the age of 68 at her Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ home on October 21, 2022. Elaine was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on April 7, 1954. Her family moved to Hinton, Alberta in 1957 and to Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ in 1959.
Elaine graduated from Lord Beaverbrook High School in 1971, and the University of Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ in 1975 with a Bachelor of Nursing. She worked as a public health nurse in Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ for many years. Elaine was also a cancer survivor. She is remembered by her parents, Clarence and Shirley Triffo, brother Dale Triffo (Peggy), children Christine Fischer-Stoess (Danny), Michael Fischer (Julia) and John Fischer, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life service to be held in Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ on March 3, at 2pm. Please contact Christine for details. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Tom Baker Cancer Centre or the
