CIH Director receives Faculty of Arts Impact Award
Dr. James Ellis has received a Faculty of Arts Impact Award for work on the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Atlas Project
CIH director Dr. James Ellis was honored Tuesday April 28 at the Faculty of Arts for his work on the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Atlas Project. Dr. Ellis was one of four honourees receiving The Impact Award for Connection, Community and Culture. Through his direction of the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Atlas Project and his leadership of the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Institute for the Humanities, Dr. Ellis works collaboratively with community historians, artists and activists to centre marginalized perspectives in ways that challenge dominant narratives of place and belonging.
